Sanford and Son is an American sitcom which was based on the BBC television program Steptoe and Son. In the beginning of season 4, Fred returns from St. Louis to a welcome home surprise party. Lamont must exercise diplomacy and peacekeeping after he bruises the feelings of both Fred and Grady.
